Almost 20 years, Thammasat has offered many program for admission such as student who best learning from rural areas, Disabled Students, Athlete Students and Volunteer Students. Regarding the admission policy for students with disability, Thammasat University is the first university in Thailand that offers quota for students with disability to increase their educational opportunities.
In academic year 2020, Thammasat University opened 62 admission positions for the disabled students in 19 faculties and colleges, covering social sciences, humanities, science and technology, and medical sciences.
The types of disability eligible for the admission include vision impairment, deaf or hard of hearing, and physical disability.
Combining all students in undergraduate and graduate programs, in 2020, there are in total 74 students with disabilities out of 28,359 students, accounted for 0.03% of total number of students.
